Fuller's Vintage Ale has arrived.

It's that time of year again: the new Fuller's Vintage Ale has hit the shops. I have extensive stocks already but they still need regular topping up. It was a bargain this year as my local Sainsbury's is selling it for £1.99 a bottle, cheaper than Golden Pride (or 1845 for that matter).  Economics was never my strong point but I really don't understand this one, not that I'm complaining mind.

It's best if left for at least a year before drinking, so it's to the back of the cupboard with these for now.

  1. Great, I collect a couple of bottles of this each year. Had the cask stuff at GBBF so comparing it to the bottle will be good.

  2. Oooooo...nice one. I've had cask 1845 at a beer festie but never had draught vintage.

  3. 2 quid?!! It's 10 euro a bottle in Dublin. I have one of two stashed but that's about all I can afford.

  4. I had to try three different branches of Sainsbury's on Saturday (07:11:09) before I found a few bottles on the shelf. I opened one on Sunday night and was so impressed that I went on the website to buy a dozen online only to find they've put the price up to £3.29 a bottle or 4 for the price of 3. I had a sneaky feeling it was too good to be true! Anyway, I'll treasure the three bottles I have left. Cheers!
