Where's Worthington's Wonders?

Molson Coors have spent a lot of money on the Worthington's microbrewery. And they've hired a former brewer of the year to run it. But I can't say I've noticed anything exciting coming out of their fermenting vessels.

Surely with all the historical logs to plunder and the crazy world of craft innovation there should be a steady stream of drinking delights pouring out of Burton-upon-Trent. Anyone know what's going on?

  1. I have wondered the same thing. Having said that, the White Shield that's around in bottles at the moment is phenomenal...

  2. I was enjoying some White Shield myself recently but that's made in one of the big breweries now.

  3. My local supermarkets seem to have stopped stocking White Shield :-(

  4. So you can't get one of the few bottle conditioned beers you approve of? You don't really have much luck with them.

  5. More a case of "one of the few bottle conditioned beers I have found from experience not to be crap" - although I think I know where I can get one this weekend.
