Where's Worthy?

Since reading Hops and Glory I've had a thirst on for some Worthington's White Shield. Now the lovely Lisa has started on the book the situation is getting desperate. Sadly despite the fact that Coors have apparently pumped money into the brand I can't find it in my local supermarkets and google hasn't been much help.

Does anyone out there know who's selling it at the moment?

  2. I think most branches of Sainsbury's sell it, but I haven't seen it in any of the other major supermarkets.

  3. I tried Sainsbury's to no avail, and next time I'm at Utobeer I was hoping to get some beers a bit more exotic than White Shield.

  4. Sainsburys used to have it but they just delisted it - that should be rectified soon. I'd try some of the mail order beer clubs - I think Beers of Europe have it. Anyway, it shluld become much easier to find over the next few months - I've got a feature about it in the next issue of CAMRA's Beer magazine, out next month.

    Glad you liked the book!

    Cheers

  5. Thanks Pete, I still can't quite believe I'll have to buy it from a specialist beer shop. When I were a lad I could buy it in my local boozer.

  6. You can buy White Shield at Spinney's supermarket, just off the Muroor Road, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, if you're ever in the Gulf … it's near the Al Wahda Mall.
