While other beer bloggers may tick their way through the festival beers or seek out the foreign guest brewers' beers, there was only one beer for me when I went to my local 'Spoons.
And there it was, waiting for me at the bar, Hawkwind.
As it happens it wasn't the best beer I've had, in fact it wasn't even the best beer on the bar but I didn't care, I was happy. I'd had a pint of Hawkwind.
Good one tho Ed, for me it drank like a classic British best bitter cross pale ale with good substance.
ReplyDeleteIt is for those reasons my partner also wants to try this, the nickname 'Space Kettle Ale' was assigned to it as well. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm sure Bitten Bullet Barry would love a drop too: http://thebittenbullet.blogspot.com/2009/08/spiral-galaxy-h1n1.html
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed your last post about this, Ed! Oh yeah, I was on holiday... Love that pumpclip! :D I'm now considering doing a Hawkwind-inspired beers, but I'm not sure they'd be legal. Motorhead it'll have to be for now :)
ReplyDeleteActually, I'd like a beer label a bit like Astounding Sounds, Amazing Music, but it might give the wrong impression here in Germany :) I really should buy a turntable and dust off the vinyls...
ReplyDeleteYes, probably be for the best to not use that one!
ReplyDeleteI hope this beer gets me psychedelically high like Hawkwind does.....UP the Hawks and beer forever....ROCK ON:)
ReplyDeleteRobert.
